These paperweights were made in the early part of the 20th century as gifts to executives in the industry and to good customers of the Bell System. Back in the teens there was no air conditioning. Huge overhead fans kept the air moving - but also blew the papers off ones' desk. Paperweights were actually a necessity then. Today they are some of the most rare and sought after telephone accessories today. The item shown is the one you will receive. These are very limited in availability. This one is the Missouri and Kansas Bell version. The rear is shown here and reads "Local and Long Distance Telephone.". No chips or cracks. Color is cobalt.
